Frances
de La Rosa
Frances de la Rosa of Uniontown is a painter
as well as an art professor at Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia.
Her highly-keyed canvases transform the southern landscape into
a heightened, more vibrant interpretation of reality. The "portrait"
of Pitt's Folly, de la Rosa's family home in Uniontown, is a reflection
of the plantation life of the old south gone slightly awry.
