Alabama Public Television thanks all the children in kindergarten through third grade who submitted a book for the 2013 PBS KIDS GO! Writers Contest. The books look great! Each child’s participation will be recognized with a certificate, and state winners in each grade level will receive special prizes and the chance to move on to the national competition. National winners will be recognized with a variety of prizes including tablet computers, e-readers and MP-3 players. National winners will be announced and national prizes will be awarded in summer 2013.
Alabama Public Television’s writing contests with Reading Rainbow and PBS Kids have inspired thousands of young authors in Alabama during the last sixteen years and several have become national contest winners. See past winning entries.
