Congratulations to all of the young writers!  Your stories were excellent, and you faced a LOT of stiff competition.

In conjunction with the BIRMINGHAM READS celebration, we will be hosting an awards ceremony for the winners of the contest on Saturday, April 21, 2:00pm, at the Books-a-Million store in Colonial Brookwood Village (780 Brookwood Village, Birmingham, AL).

The Young Writers and their families are invited to attend.  The Young Writers will receive their prize packages at the event.  The Young Writers will also be invited to read their stories to the assembled guests.  (If the Young Writer is a little shy and doesn’t want to read it, someone from APT will gladly step in.)
