Multiple Grammy-winner John Paul White of the Civil Wars hosts this celebration honoring an impressive 2014 class of inductees: soul singer Candi Staton (Grammy nominated for her "Stand by Your Man" and "In the Ghetto" interpretations); keyboardist deluxe and songwriter "Spooner" Oldham (who's worked with everyone from Wilson Pickett to Neil Young); songwriter Dan Penn ("The Dark End Of The Street, "Do Right Woman, Do Right Man," etc.); country-music hit-maker and 50-year Grand Ole Opry member Hank Locklin; music publishing kingpin Charlie Monk; and acid-jazz pioneer Sun Ra.
