(MARCH 11, 2014) CAPITOL JOURNAL reports on Senate action today taking up "Carly’s Law," which would allow the use of a marijuana-derived drug to treat seizure disorders. Lawmakers announced today that UAB would conduct research on the drug. We’ll also report on today’s public hearing on a new bill that, instead of repealing Common Core, would put a moratorium on it. A House committee today approved a substitute ‘revolving door’ bill to ban lawmakers from lobbying for two years after leaving office.
