Episode #631

(MARCH 6, 2014) CAPITOL JOURNAL reports on a spirited Statehouse rally today to call on lawmakers to restore 10-million dollars in Alabama State University funding that was set aside as a conditional appropriation. The House today passed a bill that would keep secret the manufacturers and suppliers of lethal injection drugs used in Alabama executions. The Senate passed the Alabama Ahead Act, which would mandate a bond issue to help schools make the switch-over to digital textbooks. And we’re joined by Troy University professor Scott Beaulier, who discusses his new study which contradicts earlier findings about the benefits of expanding Medicaid in Alabama.
