(FEB. 25, 2014) The House Health Committee approved four pro-life bills today including the Fetal Heartbeat Act. The Committee also approved Representative Jim McClendon’s bill to reorganize the Birmingham Water Works Board to include representatives from outside counties. We'll report on Senate action taking up several welfare-related bills, including one that would mandate drug testing of welfare recipients with prior drug convictions. And we’re joined by Senator Gerald Dial of Lineville, who discusses his bills to repeal the state sales tax on food and allow for the display of the Ten Commandments in public places.
