A Special Live Discussion on April 1, 2002
Alabama Public Television will link citizens in major
cities across the state Monday, April 1 at 7:00 PM in a live discussion
about the issues involved in rewriting Alabama's Constitution. Click
here to be reminded when this program will air!
The program will feature four panelists to discuss the issue of
Constitution reform. Panelists will include representatives of the
Alabama Citizens for Constitution Reform and the Association of
Judeo-Christian Values.
Alabama Public Television's statewide microwave system
will allow the panelists in Montgomery to answer questions and interact
with citizens in Birmingham, Huntsville, Mobile and Tuscaloosa,
as well as the Montgomery studio.
A number of short, taped features will help explain the issues involved
in Constitution reform. Topics include: History of the 1901 Constitution,
2002 Gubernatorial Candidates' Positions on Reform, Tax Control
within the Constitution, Home Rule, and Methods of Rewriting the
Constitution.
