Alabama Agriculture and Industries Commissioner Ron Sparks provides an update on the condition of Alabama crops. According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture National Agriculture Statistics Service, three weeks of rain has lowered the areas suffering from exceptional drought conditions to 24.6% an improvement of more than 17% from the previous week. Sparks discusses the correlation between the recent rain and crop production. He will also talk about revelations of certain drugs found in food imported from China into the United States.
