Alabama Securities Commission Executive Director Joe Borg told Congress regulations need to be in place to protect investors from public offerings of hedge funds and private equity firms. Borg testified before the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Oversight and Government Subcommittee on Domestic Policy. He serves as the President of the North American Securities Administrators Association and says the nature of hedge funds and private equity firms make it tougher for average investors to make decisions based on sound information. Borg will discuss his testimony and ongoing work to protect Alabama investors.
