Alabama saw the tourism industry grew 14 percent in 2006. Travelers spent close to 9 billion dollars in fiscal 2006 in Alabama. Lee Sentell is the Director of the Alabama Department of Tourism and Travel. He will discuss what the industry that employs some 200,000 direct and indirect jobs means to the State.
