Dr. Richard Bailey is the author of two books about African-Americans in Alabama history: "Neither Carpetbaggers nor Scalewags" and "They too Call Alabama Home". We'll discuss a proposal for a memorial to Rev. Martin Luther King in the Alabama State Capitol, about Reconstruction and how Alabama's power structure managed to reverse the gains made by African-Americans in those years after the Civil War.
