A red crossbreed cow confirmed to have Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (BSE) has started an investigation into how the cow contracted what people commonly refer to as Mad Cow Disease. The investigation will look at the history of the cow as officials work to make sure beef produced in Alabama remains safe.
