Alabama Governor Bob Riley created the Coastal Recovery Commission (CRC) in September to recommend ways to improve Alabama’s ability to respond to future challenges on the Gulf. The CRC is made up of citizen leaders from Alabama’s coastal region and headed by Mobile Press-Register publisher Ricky Mathews, and is scheduled to deliver its report to the Governor on December 15. CRC members discuss their progress.
