Stars in Education Awards
Alabama Public Television and the Alabama Department of Education honor Alabama’s outstanding teachers and students in the Stars in Education Awards.

STARS IN EDUCATION  combines the Department of Education’s Teacher of the Year Awards with APT’s annual Alabama Young Heroes Awards  to recognize outstanding achievement by educators and students in Alabama. Awards will be presented in May 2012.

“Alabama Public Television is proud to play a role in honoring our state’s best teachers and spotlighting some of the remarkable youth from our state,” says Allan Pizzato, executive director of Alabama Public Television. “It’s the perfect use of APT’s broadcasting capabilities to celebrate educational successes.”
