Alabama Public Television Scholarship
Alabama Public Television (APT) is pleased to announce that it will award two scholarships to enrolled students attending four year Alabama colleges or universities and pursuing a degree in broadcasting, radio & television or a related field. One of the two will be named for the Birmingham station WBIQ-TV and other for the Montgomery facility, WAIQ-TV. Each scholarship is in the amount of $1,000.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be legal resident of Alabama (paying in-state tuition) and must apply personally.
- Must be pursuing a major course of study in broadcasting, radio & television, or a related field.
- Must be attending a four-year Alabama college or university.
- Must demonstrate the intention of entering the broadcasting or electronic media field as his/her life’s work.
- Must be an enrolled college or university junior or senior.
- Must not have received any APT scholarships in the past.
- Must return completed form by May 31, 2011
A committee appointed by APT shall evaluate and judge the entry submissions (applications) and determine the recipients. Those individuals who will be awarded the scholarship will be notified by July 29, 2011. NOTE: Payment for the scholarship will be paid directly to the recipients’ school and credited to each student’s account.
