Announcing the Winners
15th Annual Reading Rainbow
Young Writers & Illustrators Contest

Three hundred children in grades K-3 throughout the state have been busy since January working on their own “canvas of imagination!” These young authors and illustrators sent their creative works to APT for contest judging in late March.

First, second, and third place winners were chosen from each grade, with first-place stories going on to compete in the national contest. There were so many creative entries that the judges commented on how difficult it was to choose. Every young writer/illustrator who participated received a Certificate of Participation signed by Reading Rainbow’s LaVar Burton.
