Alabama Public Television proudly announces the winners of the 2010 PBS KIDS GO! Writers Contest, continuing the tradition of the popular Reading Rainbow contest in years past. Children in kindergarten through third grade from throughout Alabama wrote and illustrated books and submitted them to Alabama Public Television. Thank you to everyone who submitted a book!
Statewide winners for each grade level have now been chosen and prizes will be awarded at the Alabama Book Festival on April 17, 2010 prior to a catered lunch at the historic Young House in Montgomery. State First Place winners will then advance to the national level of the contest where a renowned panel of judges will select the national winners. National winners will be announced and national prizes will be awarded in summer 2010.
