| Description: | Oversee operations of Alabama Public Television, headquartered in Birmingham, with production facilities in Montgomery, as well as WLRH-FM in Huntsville. The Executive Director will report directly to the seven-member Alabama Educational Television Commission, an agency of the State of Alabama. Overall responsibility for staffing, staff development, planning, financial and property management, fundraising, educational services, programming, production, promotion, grant applications, equipment acquisition, operation and maintenance, and general policies and procedures. Liaison to the Alabama Legislature and executive branch of state government for the Alabama Educational Television Commission. Duties include managing a $12 million annual budget. |

| Requirements: | Significant managerial experience to include the following: financial management, television broadcast facilities and production management, fundraising, personnel, and organizational collaborations. Must demonstrate expertise in leadership, planning, goal setting, familiarity and working experience with FCC regulations, oral and written communications skills, and human relations skills.
