Alabama Public Television is pleased to announce the APT Young Heroes for 2016. These students were nominated by their teachers, counselors or other community leaders in recognition of their academic achievement, public service, and inspiration of others by overcoming adversity.  Each Young Hero will receive a scholarship of $3000 to the school of their choice, a tablet computer and other prizes.

APT will be taping the stories of the Young Heroes at their schools in the coming month. These video stories and more information about the 2016 Young Heroes will be available soon.
