Cooking is a tradition people in the South take very seriously. So when chefs representing Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi come together it could be a cooking war. Join these fine chefs during the live three-hour Holiday Tastes of the South on Saturday, December 9 at Noon.

Alabama Public Television (APT), the Arkansas Educational Television Network (AETN), Louisiana Public Broadcasting (LPB), and Mississippi Educational Television are joining forces for this live marathon of holiday recipes.

Chef John Folse of A Taste of Louisiana with Chef John Folse & Co. will host the Louisiana segment of the show, Don Bingham will cook for Arkansas, Dan Blumenthal will be the chef for Mississippi and Gus Ravanos will host the Alabama segment.

A special Holiday Tastes of the South Cookbook with recipes from all four states and celebrity chefs will be the thank-you gift for viewers who call in a contribution of $50 or more to public television in their state. Everyone who pledges with a credit card will receive his or her cookbook in time for Christmas.
