Eliminating the Sales Tax on Food
The “Newsmaker” guest on FTR tonight will be Rep. Mac Gipson, a Republican from Prattville. On the panel are Birmingham News political cartoonist Scott Stantis and Press-Register reporter Brian Lyman. Topic include the House vote to eliminate the sales tax on food, in which there at least one Democratic Representative admits he used other members’ voting machines to cast votes for the measure. Republicans argue against the bill because, among other things, it will benefit illegal immigrants.
