Alabama Senate Deputy President Pro-Tem Wendell Mitchell Alabama Senate Deputy President Pro-Tem Wendell Mitchell will be our newsmaker guest following the opening week of the 2008 Legislative Session. Mitchell is a Democrat, but told the Montgomery Advertiser recently: “"I'm proud to be a Democrat, but I check that party mantle at the door of the Senate. I am very appreciative to have support from my Democrat friends and my Republican friends”. The Alabama GOP is not quite as happy…two Autauga County Republican elected officials who supported Mitchell for re-election have been told by GOP Party officials they will not be allowed to run for re-election as Republicans. That’s one of the topics we’ll discuss with Senator Mitchell. TBA

VIEWER COMMENTS AND QUESTIONS
Wendell:
I hope you will support the legislation being introduced to address illegal immigration in Alabama. We now have approx 500,000 illegals in Alabama. The Renaissance Hotel was built by illegals and the new AG's Office Building is built by illegals. Our prisons are 25% occupied by illegals and our schools and hospitals are losing millions of dollars due to the illegal problem. We need your leadership in the legislature. Please support this legislation and help save our state. WE are rapidly looking like a third world country in the Montgomery area. Please use your leadership to save our country. Txs.
