Alabama Public Television expands its longtime commitment to coverage of the Alabama Legislature this month by taking viewers right to the action to experience the "sights and the sounds" of the process. In past years, public television's coverage of the final night of the legislature has generated huge interest from viewers. This reporting from inside the house and senate chambers relied on the temporary installation of cameras and microwave equipment. Now, new digital equipment and a mini-studio at the statehouse will allow APT to offer this service throughout the annual session.
