Alabama Public Television gives Alabamians unprecedented coverage of the Alabama Legislature beginning Monday, March 5 on Capitol Journal. Now every weeknight, Capitol Journal provides an in-depth look at the Legislature’s activities, reviewing the actions of lawmakers and providing insight into government operations.

Providing more extensive coverage of day-to-day activities, the program’s new daily format allows Capitol Journal not only to recap daily events and provide interviews to put actions into context, but also to focus on the legislative process, profiling how legislation impacts the public and changes everyday life in Alabama.

Capitol Journal, which airs on both Alabama Public Television and the new APT digital channel, APT-IQ, continues to provide a look at the demographics of a legislative district. This year the district profiles include information on all 105 House districts in addition to Senate districts.
