Become An Online Instructor
During each year of the five-year grant, participating
states select a group of teachers and train them to facilitate
or teach online courses. The purpose of the training is
to build a comprehensive curriculum and to sustain a readily
accessible array of online professional development courses
designed to improve teaching and student performance. Having
a sufficient number of well-trained course facilitators
means that each participating state will have a cadre of
trainers who are always ready to teach and to lead other
teachers as well. The primary qualifications to be considered
for training as a facilitator are strong content area skills,
as well as proficiency in technology and computer
skills.
If you are interested in becoming an online teacher – a
facilitator – please contact the e-Learning Alabama state
project director, Tom Dreilinger, at elearning@alsde.edu or
by telephone at 334-670-1884, to secure an application.
