The Obama Re-Inauguration: Traditions Old and New
Every four years, the United States celebrates a peaceful transfer of power with a solemn oath of office on the steps of the Capitol, a big parade and a night of dancing and formal balls. For his second inauguration President Barack Obama has chosen a civil rights leader, a Cuban-American poet, Beyoncé and “American Idol” winner Kelly Clarkson to perform during the ceremony.
