During 2009, which has been designated as the Year of Alabama History, the Alabama Department of Archives and History is presenting a special series of lectures. These sequential lectures, which will be presented by leading experts in the field, will give you insight into the individuals and major events that shaped Alabama history. As we continue to add a new lecture each month, we will come one step closer to present day Alabama. >

Alabama Course of Study Social Studies 3rd Grade 2.) Describe physical characteristics, including landforms, bodies of water, soil, and vegetation of various places on Earth.
